The tools recieved from a grant from the Arkansas Foresty Commission are now in service. With the grant, the department recieved some new tools to aid in wild fires and storm damage. The tools include: Chainsaws, Back-Pack Blowers, Leaf Rakes, Fire Rakes, Bladder Bag Sprayers Chaps, and Helmets and Accessories. The Dover Fire Department would like to thank all those involved in helping to secure these tools that will be very beneficial to the citizens of our great town. ****************************************************************************************
The generator is being installed behind the station now. It should be up and running within a week or so. It is a Generac, 20kw, natural gas powered, back up generator with propane fuel back up. It has and automatic transfer switch so the fire department and the Pope County EMS unit will have power automatically if a power outage should occur. **********************************************************************************************
